Close to a month after I took this picture, Buddy got a diagnosis. He has glaucoma in his left eye (the one to the viewer's right).

Everything was nice and clean, everyone was nicely dressed.

The band went on at least thirty minutes late, leaving us to just stand there while a stagehand tuned the guitars about thirty times.

I love these (mostly) cheap Japanese pens. I have a few too many.

Excellent crowd, excellent sound.

It's 24 pages, staple-bound. Laser printed on, let's see... 20lb copy paper. Good stuff. It's black-and-white, but so are the originals.

They're overall harmless but they will bite. Mostly they're good at getting away.

Bands from Atlanta aren't usually as audience-friendly as these guys were.

I took another walk on the levee this afternoon, and once again there was a kite being flown by no one.

I was walking down 6th Street in Austin one lunch hour when I saw a group of people with cameras out, looking up.
