hiya, folks

OMG have I been busy. The new job is GREAT (I worried I'd never say that ever again) but we are trying to bust out a lot of stuff for 2019. I hope we make it.

Gina and I have both been injured thanks to her getting a Nerf football, but we're both better. She did a bunch of recording with her recording band consisting of PJ Christie, Doug Garrison, and The Stacks' Andrew Donaldson. It's really good.

I have been reading a bunch of fat books, Bertrand Russell's very quaffable History of Western Philosophy and the Ta-Nehisi Coates-recommended Battle Cry of Freedom. Also taking lynda.com courses. Trying to deal with Wordpress changing their entire platform with the release of version 5.0.

My cat Sally is twelve now, I think? I love her more than ever.

I'm going to do some art real swiftly over the break.

I finished cutting up the downed tree in my yard; we have lumber for twenty yard fires. Come over!

I got all the way to the end of Portal 2 but haven't finished the final boss battle.

I got to watch my fill of Frederick Wiseman documentaries. Thank you NOPL and Kanopy.

One other thing: I broke the hell out of my own web site on Christmas, and if you saw it while it was broken, I apologize. (I accidentally deleted many pictures from it.)  As I often say, I could have fixed that faster if I hadn't been in such a hurry.

But thanks to all who visited my site this year. In 2019 I'm going to try to replace my dire social media presence with emails to my mailing list, so please sign up. I hope I can leave Facebook behind and still have an outlet for my stupidities.

This was a great year for me! Thanks to everyone who was a part of it.
