Mardi Gras day

I had a great Mardi Gras day. One of my favorite parts was running into my friend Ken, who saw me walking by the door to his place and said “Hey, are you here for the party?” and I said “No! Where is it?” and was invited in to partake of a spread and hang out with a bunch of other people I know. I also spent some time with Robin and Eric, who I did ‘tit Rex with. Since I’ve left Austin I’ve almost learned to socialize with people again.

My suit wasn’t hot but it wasn’t very breathable so it was almost raining inside it. But that was kind of cool in a way. I wanted to do something with fur, basically be an enormous Muppet but I didn’t wan’t to die of heatstroke for a costume. I admire all you make up and minimal clothes costumers, I wish I could go forth like that.

This Van Gogh guy I have seen on other Mardis Gras; it’s a great costume. Maybe the Tyvek suit will be my perennial.
