I went to a party

I went with Tallulah to a party where I didn’t know anybody so we started chatting with this nice man, he was curious and had little interjections in the conversation. Eventually we got around to asking who he was and how he got there. He said he was a college professor in New York but was moving back. I said are you going to be a professor here, and he told us, no, that he fell and hurt his head and now it gave him migraines to read or write, so he was going to be flipping houses instead. Tallulah remarked that now seemed to be a bad time for that, with prices rising as they are, and he said no, it’s great, cause you can buy for two or three hundred thousand and flip it for five.

Well, the party petered out shortly thereafter and we took our leave. And as we walked to the car I said “Oh, why don’t you go have another migraine, Professor Pitiful!” and I turned around and there he was.
