I got my pickup truck professionally washed at Hand Car Wash at Grover and Koenig. (There are laws in Austin against washing your own damn car in your own damn driveway.) Boy they made the outside (of my dented, bent-bumpered 1999 Ford Ranger) look new. The wheels are silver, not black! And the inside looks nice; thoroughly vacuumed, and the floor mats de-leafed. But it stinks! It smells so bad I want to sell it. It smells like the cheapest perfume, and a gallon of it. And they put weird grease on the tires and the sun-baked old truck cap and the bumper treads.
I feel like somebody put make up on my truck and put it on the pole. I’m ashamed of not being a better parent. She’s airing out in the carport now.
