car song of the trip

Actually I can’t decide which of these two is the winner. I didn’t know what either one was, I got them on a mix CD I forgot to label.
The first one made me drive faster. I am a fan of songs with a “working-in-a-coal-mine” hammer sound, maybe I’ll make a mix of my own. There’s a video of it with awkward Northern Soul dancers if you like/can stand that sort of thing*. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBE-hdg9a-o

The second one is so obviously the Hi Rhythm Section. That loud hi-hat!
